Banyan Tree Terrace Restaurant, Pau Hana Inn, Kaunakakai, This is a popular dining spot with the locals. The menu features prime rib as the house special, as well as steaks, seafood, island fish; breakfast served also.

Moloka`i Drive Inn, Kamehameha V Highway, Kaunakakai, The focus here is simple plate lunch and snack fare such as burgers, sandwiches, beef stew, chili, fried fish and chicken.

Kanemitsu Bakery, Ala Malama Street, Kaunakakai. They serve breakfast and lunch with a varied menu; fresh pastries, donuts and baked goods are excellent. The big thing here is their famous fresh Moloka`i bread.

Moloka`i Pizza Café, Wharf Road, Kaunakakai. This clean bright café has an Italian menu of pizza and pasta selections, plus sandwiches and daily specials in a clean, pleasant atmosphere. One of Moloka`i's nicest dining spots.

Kualapu`u Cookhouse, in Kualapu`u off Highway 470. This rustic country café features prime rib as a house special, along with BBQ ribs, steaks, BBQ chicken and daily specials. Located amid groves of coffee trees between town and the airport.

Outpost Natural Food, off Ala Malama Street, behind Kalama's Service Station, Kaunakakai. Natural and health foods, fresh produce, beverages, plus a vegetarian lunch counter serving healthy salads, veggie sandwiches, daily lunch specials and tropical fruit smoothies.

Kamoi Snack-N-Go Minimart, Kamoa Professional Plaza, Ala Malama Street, Kaunakakai. This convenience store has prepared foods and snacks to go, plus freshly made Hawaiian ice creams, candies, beverages.

Sundown Deli, on Kaunakakai's main street. This small lunch counter features a variety of sandwiches, salads, soups and special Moloka`i-style saimin noodles.

Oviedo's Lunch Counter, on Kaunakakai's main street. This small diner lunch counter features excellent local-style Filipino food, including such things as pork adobo, pinacbet, pork and peas, chicken papaya, and other daily specials.

Ike's Lunch Wagon, usually located in the heart of Kaunakakai town, this mobile caterer offers a variety of local-style favorite plate lunches such as luau stew, roast pork, shoyu chicken, island fish, beef stew, beef curry and many more.
